STEM vs. STEAM
The Buzzword of the Decade

As STEM picks up momentum and thus prioritizing science, technology, engineering and math over the arts, STEAM has gained traction on the opposite side. With this part of the music advocacy debate being relatively new, there isn't much information in terms of quantitative data. However, some notable individuals on both sides have stepped forward and offered their support of creative education. For example, check out "Lessons From the Humanities and Social Sciences," written by the presidents of Stanford University and the University of Michigan. There are a handful of excellent narratives out there (and more are still being released)!
